Our Corporate Social Responsibility

Community Clean understands the influence the company has on our employees, customers, suppliers, the environment and local communities that are all affected by the way we operate and what we do. As such we continually review and update our sustainable development objectives and act to address these challenges.

Our Managing Director is responsible for the implementation of this policy and will make the necessary resources available to realise our corporate responsibilities. The responsibility for our performance to this policy rests with all employees throughout the company, with the support of our Corporate Social Responsibility Champion.

Our core objectives

  • Ensure we have high standards of performance in areas such as health & safety, the environment and equal opportunities
  • Promote business activities that bring simultaneous economic, social and environmental benefit

 Principle focus areas

  • We shall strive to improve our environmental performance through the implementation of our Sustainable Development and Environmental policies
  • We will maintain our ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System Standard
  • We aim to achieve ISO 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Standard by January 2012
  • We aim to achieve NHSS Scheme 19a (National Highways) by summer 2011
  • We shall ensure a high level of business performance while minimising and effectively managing risk
  • We shall encourage involvement/dialogue/activities with local communities for mutual benefit  
  • We will maintain our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Standard
  • We will record and resolve customer complaints in accordance with our quality procedures
  • We shall operate an equal opportunities policy for all present and potential future employees  
  • We will offer our employees clear and fair terms of employment and provide resources to enable their continual development
  • We shall provide, and strive to maintain, a clean, healthy and safe working environment  
  • Our contracts will clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship
  • We shall encourage suppliers to adopt responsible business policies and practices for mutual benefit, these standards will be regularly monitored
  • We shall uphold the values of honesty, integrity and transparency in all that we do for employee’s, customers and suppliers alike
