London Bridge in Bloom - Silver Gilt Award - 2009
Team London Bridge Business Improvement District (BID) have received a Silver Gilt with their 1st ever entry at the London in Bloom awards ceremony in September 2009 at Twickenham Rugby Club. The accompanying report notes that:
“The area benefits greatly from the energy, enthusiasm and competence of the various teams who manage the area. The crucial relationships with designers, contractors and staff at all levels were obviously of the highest order, and we were pleased to meet with many of them on our tour. Very good use is made of the funds available to these teams who spread them around to great effect. It has a riverfront of national significance which is used to maximum effect for residents, day-time office workers, and tourists; however, the areas away from this are not neglected and plans are in progress to greatly enhance the older parts and to join them together. We particularly commend the flow of information to and from the business community, and the levels of consultation and discussion with the relevant interested organisations”.
Community Clean gets a mention under item number 17 of the London Bridge in Bloom report for the work we do as part of our contract with the BID. We provide graffiti removal, chewing gum removal, pavement washing, general grime cleaning, supply of Graffiti Response Kits and specialist coatings to help keep the London Bridge area looking its best.
