We are pleased to say that our internal ICATS (Industrial Coatings Applicator Training Scheme) training is going very well. Our internal trainer has recently trained and assessed five operatives to gain their certification as Industrial Coating applicators by the Institute of Corrosion; giving our clients confidence that all painting works will be delivered safely and to specification.
As part of our ongoing commitment to quality we are going through the implementation and auditing of the Highways Authority, National Highways Sector Scheme (19A - Corrosion Protection of Ferrous Materials By Industrial Coatings), this will integrate into our ISO 9001 and compliments our ICATS accreditation.
With regards to Health & Safety we have just embarked on the journey of attaining the Internationally recognised occupational health and safety management system OHAS 18001. This will be a challenging task but necessary as part of our commitment to health & safety monitoring and improvement. This will tie in nicely with our ISO 9001 & 14001 enabling us to integrate our Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety policies; we hope to be certified by the middle of 2011.
